In light of many tragic events across our nation involving police, Senior Financial Group wanted to stop and do something special to show our respect to the Knoxville Police Officers (KPD). It was an honor for us at SFG to put together an appreciation lunch to show how grateful we truly are for the men and women who protect us every day.
There seems to be a lot of disrespect for law enforcement across the country and officers in general do not receive the respect they deserve for protecting us day in and day out. However, the SFG team feels that the Knoxville community has a positive relationship with KPD. This was validated by the outpouring of support by our community to help make the day special for the KPD officers in attendance.
We at Senior Financial Group would like to say a personal thank you to our community partners, including East Tennessee Personal Care Services, Senior Solutions Management Group and Mac’s Pharmacy who helped us to put on such a successful event at the KPD headquarters on September 9th. Our community members not only donated items to make the meal possible, but were truly a tremendous help throughout the day helping to serve, set up, and clean up at the end of the event. We truly are so appreciative of them and their efforts to help us make this event possible.
In addition to our community partners, Krispy Kreme and Food City helped provide the food for the KPD officers and local actor, Cylk Cozart was in attendance to help commemorate the day. Additionally, we would like to say thank you to our agent, Marc Nieman, for donating his time and talents to the event. Without him, the preparation of the meal would not have been possible.
In addition to these pictures below, please take a moment to check out WATE Channel 6’s coverage of the event. We could not be more thrilled about how the event turned out and we look forward to being a part of events that recognize other organizations and their efforts to make a difference in our Knoxville community! Our hearts were warmed by the thankfulness from the KPD staff and it was truly our honor to serve those for a day that serve and risk so much for our community.
Thanks to everyone for their support in making September 9th, 2016 a very special day.
