We are thrilled to share that Mr. Jerold Johnson, President of Senior Financial Group, has been voted Knoxville’s Best Insurance Agent for the FOURTH year in a row!
Cityview magazine opened their “Best of the Best” voting in August and have just announced their top 3 winners from all 177 categories this past week. Cityview shared that just over 60 of the categories crowned first-time winners—so we would like to congratulate those new faces!
All of the winners, new or familiar, that form this 2017 exemplary people and services list deserve recognition for helping make Knoxville the wonderful city it is. From best sushi to hair stylists and DJs, to insurance agents, our city is bettered daily by the hard work and dedication of its people and businesses.

Jerold started in the insurance business in 1983 and incorporated Senior Financial Group in 1992. SFG has grown to serve over 30,000 + clients with their Medicare and health insurance needs. Jerold and his team have been dedicated to impacting the lives of seniors by helping simplify insurance and its complexities in order to better preserve the livelihood and financial savings of our clients.
Jerold is recognized in the community as an always-willing helping hand and reliable source of support. He is an exemplary leader to his staff, a family man, and a long-time Knoxville resident. Obviously known for his expertise in the insurance field, with an emphasis in Medicare, Jerold serves as a friendly, local resource to many organizations that serve senior citizens.
An insurance agent by profession, an avid golfer by hobby, Jerold’s mission is to help beneficiaries with their insurance matters so that they have time to do the things they love. “I’m always surprised to see how many people do not have the best fit coverage for them. We can make it simple and guide you to truly understand your Medicare options in order to make the right decision.” Jerold still sees clients of his own, despite having a full team of advisors. “I’ve never considered it “work” a day in my career. I get to do what I love and really make an impact.”
