Jimmy Buffett has announced his plans to open a string of Margaritaville-inspired retirement communities around the U.S. called “Latitude Margaritaville.”
Yes, you read correctly. No longer will Margaritaville just be a restaurant or a state of mind, now you can actually live there.
According to the website, Latitude Margaritaville will be “Inspired by the legendary music and lifestyle of the singer, songwriter and best-selling author Jimmy Buffett, your new home in paradise features exciting recreation, unmatched dining, and FINtastic nightlife.”
Where is Latitude Margaritaville?
The first Latitude Margaritaville location will be built in the sunny Daytona, Florida and include about 7,000 homes. Residents are expected to be enjoying the beach, a cold drink and the beauty of retirement by the end of the summer of 2018. Claim your spot in paradise and you’ll be living like Jimmy Buffett before August. The second community in Hilton Head, South Carolina is projected to be complete mid-2018.
These Margaritaville homes are fairly affordable, starting in the $200,000s. But it is not just the house you are paying for. Amenities include pools, a fitness center, game rooms, restaurants and more. The Hilton Head location is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2018, so claim your spot now and escape the winter blues in Margaritaville.
