September Agent of the Month: Leigh Ann Warwick

Meet Senior Financial Group’s Agent of the Month, Leigh Ann Warwick! Known for her charismatic and outgoing personality, this longtime team member is held in high regard among our staff and her clients.

About Leigh Ann

This Knoxville native is a mother of five wonderful children; Jordan (23), Kendall and Chandler (22), Sarah (20), and Lillian (11). In fact, her son, Jordan, recently joined our agent team in August upon obtaining his insurance license! Leigh Ann looks forward to showing Jordan the ropes and teaching him how he can provide meaningful service to his future clients.

Leigh Ann joined the Senior Financial Group staff in 2005 and while many things have changed in the industry over the years, the main goal of her work remains the same. She explains, “No matter what, my mission is to help my clients navigate their insurance needs in order to maximize affordable coverage.”

Agent Service

As an independent insurance agent, Leigh Ann has the ability to represent a multitude of health insurance companies. (She is certified with more than 15 companies!) She prefers this employment arrangement since it enables her to offer her clients options based on their individual and unique needs, rather than a specific company’s agenda. *More about independent agents here.

Leigh Ann has over 2,000 Medicare and health insurance clients in her book of business; each of which she considers an important piece of her career agent journey. “I may help clients with their insurance, but I also gain knowledge from them in all aspects of life!”

Favorite Product

Her current favorite insurance product is the Cigna Cancer protection policy. After learning more about some of the staggering cancer statistics (such as 1 in 2 men and 1 and 3 women will develop cancer sometime in their life), Leigh Ann focuses on helping her clients protect themselves and their families from the results of unpredictable illness.

Not only does she believe in the solid coverage benefits of this plan, but likes the price point for this product as well. “I love the cancer product because of its affordability, and Cigna is a well-known company that offers coverage for needs that most people do not realize are even considered non-medical. I personally have this coverage myself because I truly believe in the product.”

For close to a $1 a day, Leigh Ann can provide her clients with peace of mind that they will not be financially burdened if faced with unforeseeable circumstances.

How She Can Help

Leigh Ann has become quite the subject expert after more than 10 years of experience in Medicare consulting, seeing anywhere from 10 – 25 Medicare beneficiaries a week. A few things she does weekly:

  • Educate new-to-Medicare beneficiaries on his/her options and initial enrollment
  • Assist those on Medicare find a better-fit plan during special periods such as Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (Oct. 15th – Dec. 7th) if he/she is not satisfied with the coverage or his/her plan is undergoing changes
  • Make sure clients are aware of and utilizing the benefits their plan(s) offer
  • Assist clients with applications for income-based savings program like Medicare Extra Help, Medicaid, and more
  • Provide additional insurance coverage for areas of concern (life insurance, cancer, home health care rehabilitation, etc.) that Medicare plans do not cover

Leigh Ann serves clients all over East Tennessee, primarily through in-home consultations. She is happiest serving where her clients are comfortable, which is often at the kitchen table!
